Te Hiringa Hauora also supports gambling harm services to deliver national activities and messages at a local level. The work of Te Hiringa Hauora is underpinned by research and evaluation.

  • Increasing the ability of those at-risk and whānau/friends to recognise gambling harm
  • Motivating at-risk gamblers and concerned others to check their gambling, use appropriate self-help approaches and seek professional help when needed
  • Increasing the use of appropriate harm minimisation practices in gambling environments (such as pubs and clubs with pokie machines).
