2021 Gamble JAM Trainings

Over the past year, the NCS team have been organising and running Gamble JAM trainings across the regions. This encompassed two networking hui online and two face-to-face hui, hosted by different organisations around the country.

Each gamble JAM brought the sector together to learn about their respective streams, clinical and public health. Clinical focusing on Asian and Pacific specific training and public health focusing on Supportive Communities. Sharlene Wong, Laura Tongalea and Kataraina Pipi shared their expertise with the sector so that they are able to work with clients and communities in more meaningful ways.

Special mention and thank you to those organisations and teams that hosted the different gamble JAMs around the country.

  • Northern - Salvation Army Oasis
  • Midlands - Te Taumata o Ngati Whakaue Iho Ake
  • Central - Taeamanino Trust
  • Southern - Problem Gambling Foundation

Bringing the sector together to reconnect after a tumultuous 2020 was a focus for these trainings, and highlights the importance to keep creating spaces for meaningful connections across the sector. We look forward to setting dates for 2021/2022, so that we can lock these into your diary and see you all at the next Gamble JAMs.

p.s. Don't forget the National Training Forum is coming up, make sure you're registered!
