Edmond has extensive experience working within the youth and education sector and community development. Edmond has a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences & Criminology), Master’s Degree with Honours (Social Sciences) and a PhD in Public Health with a specific focus on Tongan male gambling and problem gambling in New Zealand from Auckland University of Technology. Edmond was a recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship and most prestigious the Prime Minister’s 2013 Inspirational Award. Most recently, Edmond was recognised at the Sunpix Pacific peoples award for services to Pacific Education. Currently, Edmond is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Māori and Pacific Studies, University of Auckland conducting research around Pacific peoples’ experiences with online gaming and gambling, social media addiction and pornography.
